Exactly!
Well close,
Little Miss says;
“Outside!” – She knows where –
There!

Door
or gate
to stair to
door up where there’s
air

Full
of flowers,
stroller rides, buses,
roads that bring her
parents

over
the river
and through woods
to grama’s house to
home

Waiting for Relief

Published September 8, 2014 by Libby

ocellus
everywhere, trills
of the monsoon
bouncing off branches and
rocks

chestnuts
barely ping
water swollen ground
fluty birds remain blended
hidden

peacock
swallows hard
blue shining body
small lungs laboring hard;
grunts

Wind

Published September 1, 2014 by Libby

Wind
sighing mournfully
around the boats
rocking gently in the
marina.

This Elfje is on a related subject to the Haiku appearing today on my other blog ‘By the Wobbly Dum-Dum Tree’. You can read it here.
