This week Simply Elfje will be showcasing the development of the Elfje form practised by JulesPaige who has been using the form to create longer poems. Any comments you wish to make about this additional form would be most welcome.

Dear Prudence

Advice
is nice,
listen take it all,
especially when it is
free –

say
‘Thank you’
walk away and
do what your heart
speaks.

Fair
is compromise,
compassion, comprehension, contemplation
down the road less
traveled.

ears –
there are
two, one mouth
listen twice as hard –
see?

Freedom
is earned;
right of way
is the gift given –
guidelines…
